"Challenges" are wild plant identification activities. There are three types: Outdoor, Online and the Masters. Participants earn points for correct identification. High scores win prizes. Any "full-day" outdoor Survival Plant class will incorporate a challenge unless requested otherwise. They are conducted near the end of the hike after students have learned many plants. Challenges are fun, educational and add an element of friendly competition.
